Celebrate the Risen Savior!

ResSun2013Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead… (1 Peter 1:3 ESV)

On Sunday, March 31, we will be celebrating the risen Savior at Grace Brethren Chapel with two services. First, we will have a Sunrise Service at 8am. Then, our Disciple Hour classes will begin at their regular time of 10am, with our regularly scheduled worship service to follow at 11 am.

We invite you to bring your family and friends and join us as we celebrate the risen Savior!

New Disciple Hour Curriculum

Grace Brethren Chapel is very excited to begin a new, church-wide curriculum in its Sunday morning Disciple Hour classes.  In the coming weeks, GBC will begin using The Gospel Project, a curriculum in which “participants are immersed in the gospel and learn how when the gospel works on them, they become a part of the story, too, the very hands and feet in God’s gospel project.”  Since The Gospel Project is a church-wide curriculum, all age groups will be studying the same content each week, allowing families to reflect on the gospel lesson throughout the week.  In the video below, pastor Matt Chandler discusses the purpose and intent of The Gospel Project.  We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. to find out more about The Gospel Project!

VBS and ‘Meet & Greet’

Grace Brethren Chapel would like to invite you to join us for our first Vacation Bible School, from July 23-27.  VBS will begin each night at 6:00 p.m. and will offer classes for preschool to high school age groups, and will include Bible teaching, worship music, crafts, games, and snacks.

Additionally, we would like to invite all adults to join us for a “Meet & Greet” session during the VBS.  We would like to utilize this time to allow you to get to know us better and to learn more about the church.  Each night during VBS, our elders and other members of the church will be available for you to talk to and ask questions about our beliefs, worship services, small groups, ministries, and any other questions you may have.

Registration for VBS will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23 (Note: even if your child misses the first day, they are welcome to attend as many days as they can).

New Sermon Series

Matthew

It is the first book of the New Testament and was written my a Jewish tax collector as an evangelistic case for Christ as the long-awaited Jewish Messiah.  The Gospel of Matthew was written by the apostle Matthew, a Jewish tax collector who left his home and wealth to follow Jesus of Nazareth.  His account of Jesus’ life and ministry was written primarily to a Jewish audience and focused on the teachings of Jesus, the person and work of Christ, and the identity of the church.  Over the next months, we will be studying the message that Matthew presented to his first century Jewish audience in order to better understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. as we study the person and work of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew.  Additionally, if you cannot make it to Sunday morning services, we also offer a Wednesday night Bible study (7:00 p.m.) in which we are currently working through the book of Acts.

All are welcome and we hope to see you soon!
