2017 VBS Curriculum (from Answers in Genesis)

Every day, our kids are bombarded with the message that the Bible isn’t the true Word of God, that it can’t be trusted to tell us the truth about the past or, more importantly, about how we can receive the gift of eternal life. With the Operation Arctic VBS 2017 theme, your kids will warm up to the Word as they explore the coolest Book on the planet and discover how we can know for sure that the Bible is God’s written word to us! New Sermon Series: God’s Glorious Design

GodsGloriousDesignIn Ephesians 5:31-32, the apostle Paul wrote, “[31] ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ [32] This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.” In quoting from the book of Genesis, Paul reveals that, from the beginning, God has always had a specific purpose in creating the institution of marriage, to reveal the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ and his covenant relationship to God’s people. But, is that all the Bible says about marriage? As the culture and societal norms continue to shift, it becomes increasingly important for the church to have a clear understanding of God’s purpose and design for marriage as it is revealed in the truths of Scripture, and how to respond when those truths are challenged.

On Sunday, August 30, Grace Brethren Chapel will begin a new sermon series on God’s design and purpose for marriage, and how we, through biblical, self-sacrifing, Christ-centered marriages, put the glory of God and the good news of the gospel on display for the world.
