It is the first book of the New Testament and was written my a Jewish tax collector as an evangelistic case for Christ as the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. The Gospel of Matthew was written by the apostle Matthew, a Jewish tax collector who left his home and wealth to follow Jesus of Nazareth. His account of Jesus’ life and ministry was written primarily to a Jewish audience and focused on the teachings of Jesus, the person and work of Christ, and the identity of the church. Over the next months, we will be studying the message that Matthew presented to his first century Jewish audience in order to better understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. as we study the person and work of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. Additionally, if you cannot make it to Sunday morning services, we also offer a Wednesday night Bible study (7:00 p.m.) in which we are currently working through the book of Acts.
All are welcome and we hope to see you soon!
